Products from Opti-Sciences address a wide variety of applications. Our Plant Physiology line includes Chlorophyll Fluorometers, Chlorophyll Content Meters, and on-line Post-Harvest Quality Monitors. All are suited for many facets of plant research such as Breeding, Physiology and Crop Improvement. Our General Purpose Fluorometers for chemical compound quantification have several applications in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Water & Food Quality, Oceanography, and Forensics. In addition, many of the products are easily modified to accommodate other applications. For instance, with just the change of a couple of optic filters, a chlorophyll fluorometer is transformed into a parts inspection probe to check on contaminants in a manufacturing process.
Opti-Sciences has worked with government, private and commercial organizations to create instrumentation specifically tailored to their requirements and not necessarily available from other sources. Opti-Sciences is happy to discuss your own needs for customized or modified solutions when commercial offerings do not meet your needs. Design specialties include electronic design of both analog and digital circuitry, electro-optic interfacing, mechanical design, sensor design, fiber optic sensing, and laser based sensors.
Headquartered north of Boston in Hudson NH, Opti-Sciences has grown from its original Tyngsboro, MA location to its own 15,000 sq. ft building. The new facility provides plenty of room for volume manufacturing, design, prototyping, marketing, and of course, expansion. In addition to the manufacturing area, finished goods storage, and stockroom, in-house facilities include a prototyping machine shop, a small laboratory, and an electronics prototype shop. All assembly work is either performed in-house or by local vendors.
