Field Portable, highly automated photosynthesis system with micro-climate control and a battery charge that lasts all day.

The LCpro-SD offers laboratory grade experimental performance in a truly portable device. Featuring ADC's highly accurate miniaturized infrared gas analyzer, the LCpro-SD is, at 4.5kg or 10lbs., less than half the weight and half the size of conventional systems offering full environmental control. Ideal for A/Ci curves, and A/Q curves, measuring step sequences are full programmable, Both data and graphic information are displayed during the measuring process. Built with over 43 years of experience making photosynthesis measuring instrumentation. ADC was responsible for building the first commercially available photosynthesis system in 1973.

  • The LCpro-SD is a portable photosynthesis measuring system with fully programmable microclimate control. This system is very easy to use, yet repeatable, accurate and reliable. CO2 is measured to 1 ppm or 1 μmole, and H2O is measured to 0.1 mbars or 1 mmole. The range for CO2 measurement is 0-3000 μmoles, and the range for H2O measurement is 0-75.5 mmoles. The system has an auto-zero calibration that occurs after every photosynthesis measurement. It is ideal for A/Ci curves, light curves, and temperature curves. Measured values are corrected for atmospheric pressure and IRGA drift. Various special measuring chambers are available for Arabidopsis, conifers, narrow leaves, and soil respiration. Now available with a white light LED source that that allows chloroplast migration, and the full effects of the xanthophyll photoprotective cycle. Leaf temperature and PAR are measured while battery charge life is about 16 hours.

    Programming:

    Internal LCpro-SD menu driven software. Automatic and independent control of environmental conditions within the leaf chamber. For automatic response curves, sequential control levels and dwell times may be set.

    CO2:

    Up to 2000 ppm CO2, by integral elevated CO2 supply system.

    H2O:

    Above and below ambient (dependent on ambient conditions), by on-board self-indicating conditioning chemicals.

    Temperature:

    Micro-peltier element. Broad chamber typically +/- 14 degrees C from ambient. Other chambers with temperature control better than +/- 10 degrees C from ambient.

    PAR:

    Up to 2000 μmols/m2 /sec, (conifer up to 1500 μmols/m2 /sec) by high efficiency, low heat output, mixed red/blue LED array unit.

    Warm up time:

    5 minutes @ 20 degrees C.

    Removable SD cards typically store 16 million sets of data on a 1 Gb card.
